Acne Blemishes and Scars

Acne Blemishes and Scars
Acne is a skin condition when pores and follicles become blocked with dead skin cells and oils. Whiteheads, blackheads, or pimples characterize acne. It is the most common skin condition among teenagers, although it also affects older people.
Effective acne treatments are available, but you must be persistent in maintaining treatments. Skin bumps and pimples heal slowly, and when one is healed, others crop up. It all depends on the seriousness of your acne. It can cause emotional distress and scar your skin. Start treatments early so you can lower your risk of repeat problems.
Symptoms of acne include:
• Whiteheads (closed and plugged pores)
• Blackheads (open and plugged pores)
• Small tender bumps (papules)
• Pimples or pustules that have pus at the tip.
• Large solid, painful lumps directly under the skin (nodules)
• Painful and pus-fill bumps under the skin or cystic lesions.
Treatments include retinoids and retinoids like drugs, antibiotics, azelaic, and salicylic acid. In addition, light therapies, chemical peels, steroid injections, drainage, and extractions are a few ways to treat acne.
